Mount Abu is a diverse city which was a part of the Rajasthan kingdom which was once a resort for the Rajput kings of that particular region. Mount Abu belonged to Maharaja of Sirohi was then taken over by the British Government and used it as headquarters of Rajasthan. It was the most longed for summer destination especially of the Britishers which was mainly to get rid of the dust and the heat and experience the pleasant climate
It also served as a sanatorium for the troops. The small huts and cottages made by the British here tell the story of those times even today. Mount Abu was considered to be one of the moist sacred places of that time since it was visited by millions of Gods and goddesses. How To Reach Mount Abu
You can get to Mount Abu by air, rail and road but the nearest airport is Udaipur which is approximately 185 km and the easiest way to get to the airport is by booking a cab
By train where the nearest station is Abu road which is approximately 29km which is linked to Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Delhi.
By road you can get to Abu from Udaipur, Ahmedabad and Jodhpur.
