Jaipur Jaipur also known as the historic city founded in the 1727 AD by the great Kacchawah ruler Sawai Jai Singh II( a great builder, poet and astronomer). The city which is rectangular in shape and divided into nine blocks laid down on the principles of “Shilpa Shastra”. The rectangular blocks also called the “chokris” . All the monuments of Jaipur are centrally located in and around the city. The city is also called the “Pink City”. Getting to Jaipur especially from places like Mumbai and Delhi is not difficult at all because one can easily get to the Jaipur city by air, rail as well as road. There are several domestic flights available from places like Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta. Ranthambore National Park One of the most dynamic tourist destinations in Rajasthan is the Ranthambore National park which is located near Sawai Madhopur, a small township which is situated in the middle of Kota and Bharatpur city. This national park is spread over an area of over 39,000 hectors which is approximately equal to 400 sq. kms. The Ranthambore National park was founded in the 19th century where it was recognized as a sanctuary in 1955 and then in 1973 it was well known as the tiger reserve of India. It gained the stand of a national park in the year 1981. The Ranthambore National park is surrounded by the beautiful and wide ranges of Vindhya and Aarvali and you can also see the extensive Thar Deserts from this park as it is located on the outer edges of this huge desert. This is a memorizing park which has a very magnetic view of bits of vegetation grown in some parts of the park and rest is a complete desert area. The Ranthambore National park is recorded as the one of the most important reserve of the tigers under the Tiger project and thus you can say that this park is well known for tigers.

Udaipur Udaipur also known as the Royal House of Mewar: Legend has it that the Sisodias of Mewar are descended from Lord Rama whose life story is told in India's great epic, the Ramayana. The chronicles of the bards tell us that in the sixth century Vallabhai was sacked by strangers from the west.The Queen of Vallabhai, Pushpavati, who was on a pilgrimage offering prayers for her unborn child, heard of the destruction of Vallabhai and the death of her husband while traveling through the Aravalli hills in the north. Despairing, she took refuge in a cave, and there gave birth to a son whom she called Guhil, In the seventh century the Guhil moved north, and down to the plains of Mewar, changing their name to Sisodia, after a village they encountered on the way. Rana Pratap (ruled 1572-97) was palace one of the great warrior kings of right, Mewar. The airport at Udaipur air links it with other major cities of India like Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Aurangabad, and Mumbai. The railway network connects Udaipur with Delhi, Chittor, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Jodhpur. Udaipur can be easily reached by road as well linking it to tourism destinations in Rajasthan and neighboring states of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
